KLM commences first biofuel flight schedule

Weekly services using the cooking oil fuel started last week and will operate every Thursday on a Boeing 777-200. The carrier is the first to launch a regular service using sustainable fuel although other airlines are developing their own to reduce costs and help save the environment. I am proud that KLM is once again demonstrating its leading role in developing sustainable biofuel. For eight years in a row, KLM, together with Air France, has been sector leader on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, said Camiel Eurlings, managing director of KLM.
